Breakfast Turkey

Gluten-free, Lactose-free, FODMAP friendly

Perfect for the season, and way too easy.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground turkey
  • 2 tsp sage leaves
  • 1 tsp thyme leaves
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • olive oil to sauté

Instructions

  1. Heat olive oil in a heavy frying pan over medium heat.
  2. Crumble turkey into the pan.
  3. Over the turkey, rub sage and thyme leaves through a fine sieve.
  4. Sprinkle with salt and pepper, then sauté until all trace of pink is gone, stirring and turning until well mixed. Adjust salt and pepper to taste, then serve.

 

Alternate method

Mix the turkey and spices, create patties, and sauté them. It’s a little more effort, but you might like the effect.

 

Cooking for one

Either make a half batch or else split this recipe evenly in two glass jars. Freeze one.
